hey guys, whenever i try to play on a pb enabled server in any game, it just freezes up exactly like this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-msujgDmsU

its so annoying as i cant play any of my games anymore. I tried reinstalling windows 7, the game, PB, deleting the pb folders. But i can play flawlessly on non PB servers. But non pb servers are full of hackers and just annoying. Plus you dont have alot of options there.

Can someone please help me solve this problem before Black Ops comes out :)

awesome, I thought this was only for cod4...
okay not really awesome ... apparently im getting bc2 aswell and im already getting this problem on cod4 (so does frx)

we also came to the conclusion pb is the problem, i reformatted too, no success!

i believe its hardware related (through PB obviously) because
1 wasn't fixed after a reformat
2 few people got this problem
3 people on xp gets it too, so it cant be windows 7

Do you have windows 7 64 Bit as well?

im starting to think that theres a pattern. On the video, everyone who were complaining said they have windows 7 64 bit. If you could, can you try installing 32 bit and tell me if it helps?

lol maybe its a 64 bit thing xD. But i heard theres no problem with vista at all. Can you try installing 32 Bit of w7? I cant right now because i have all these clips i need to upload on my hdd. Is there anyone here who are brave enough to try 32 Bit? BTW what are the difference between 64 and 32 bit?

oh I forgot to add that I think the source of this problem is, most likely, an issue with onboard realtek sound chips. should work if one disables it (no sound...how fun)
solution: get a dedicated sound card

edit:
I'm not gonna reformat again after just finishing fixing everything in my current install and I cba torrent a 32bit version and then burn it anyway (oh and i dont have any discs)

one of the differences between 32 and 64-bit is the ability to use more than 4gb of memory.

other people tried disabling sound and changing their sound cards. They said it didnt help. I was able to play fine on any server when i dwnlded an already installed version of cod4. It worked flawlessly. But it was in Russian language and i couldnt understand anything.

nv mind guys, i fixed it. the problem wasnt with my computer. But it was just like some sort of compatibility problem between PB and windows 7 64 Bit. To all who has this problem, install w7 32 bit. I did that and no more problems. 64 Bit fails.
